Inspired by Matthew 25:35–40, The Guiding Star of Welcome is a national campaign that combines art exhibitions, storytelling , and biblical truths to inspire churches and communities to reflect Christ’s love by welcoming asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants. Mathenge, also known as Captain James is a gifted artist and storyteller, has journeyed across three continents as an asylum seeker, finding hope and resilience through Christ. His powerful art and ministry invite others to reflect on God’s heart for the vulnerable and marginalized.
